Part of responsible buying is finding ethical breeders. Ethical breeders manages everything you have mentioned. Rescue organization should name dogs by kennel name and keep records of who's dogs are going in to their program, if there is repeated offenders you should make the kennel name public. Breeders should be able to take back their puppy or at the very least make a considerable effort to re-house the puppy to a good home. The blog does not "tell people" or anyone what to do. It simply states a very simplistic view of a very complex problem.

In addition, it would have been nice to have been asked before using an image of my dog...

A very simplistic, idealistic view; telling people to buy from breeders rather than rescue...

Well I've got some news which might be a bit of a shock...

THE VAST MAJORITY OF NEAPOLITAN MASTIFFS COMING INTO OUR RESCUE HAVE BEEN BOUGHT FROM BREEDERS.

Breeders who have not sought any references or ID checks, undertaken a home assessment or provided ongoing help & support while the pup was developing. Does this sound like a lot of hassle or unrealistic? Well that's odd because our rescue manages to do this for every dog we rehome...

In addition, these breeders have refused to take their dogs back when the owners want rid. If you won't take back your pups, you shouldn't be breeding. There's no excuse.
